Might seem an odd question to start with this week. But in the midst of the craziness of life, it might well be that you are run ragged looking after and out for the needs of others.
And in so doing have lost sight of what it means to be kind to yourself.
Not noticing our own needs or how to care for ourselves causes our energy levels to deplete rapidly and our tanks to run dry.
Put your own oxygen mask on first.
But what if you don’t know how to start being kind to yourself?
You are struggling to see what is good about who you are, let alone be kind to that person.
Which leads on to comparisons. We all do it – compare ourselves with other people. When this comparison is consistently negative, we rapidly slip down a dark plug hole of negative self belief, lack of confidence, low self esteem.
But, it does not have to be this way!
Flip it around and we spiral upwards into positivity, proactivity and growth:
….was really useful in helping me to be kind to myself, by encouraging me to focus on the things I can offer to the world. It has brought a sense of clarity and direction as I try to move forward in my life and set some goals.”
Wow!

a very clear, simple, structured way of learning more about who you are, what potential you have, and how exciting life can be when you are equipped to make the most of it.”
Perhaps even reading this is causing you to feel overwhelmed...you feel stuck and a bit lost and don’t know how to start picking your way through into the light of self belief and self confidence.
But this need not be the case:
I no longer feel the sense of overwhelm which led me to you in the first place…whole process has been enormously helpful. It was quite amazing to suddenly be able to see underlying threads and patterns that I had not previously made a connection with. It was tremendously insightful and a real catalyst for change.”
These are all quotes from folk who have completed the Challenge.
So – how to do this?
The answer is simple: Sign up to do The 10 Things Challenge.
This is a powerful coaching tool that is largely self directed and email based, with a one off customised coaching session at the end.
Through doing the Challenge you will
- build a powerful picture of who you ARE and what you CAN do
- understand more of how to live as that person with greater confidence in all the roles you have
- know what it means to care for yourself so you can care for others better
- see what is GOOD about your life and practice more gratitude
- clear, practical actions you can implement that make life more fulfilling
- all in manageable, small steps with a clear structure
What I have found from those who have completed the 10 Things Challenge is that it is the gift that keeps on giving. Be kind to yourself and believe in who you are and what you are purposed to do, and your confidence will soar.
I received this wonderful message recently from someone who had completed The 10 Things Challenge more than two years previously:
I just wanted to say thank you again for coaching me and walking and praying with me through the 10 things challenge…. I’ve continued to put into practice some of what I’ve gleaned from the 10 Things Challenge and I’m so thankful for it …. I’ve found the more I cultivate an intentional heart of gratitude no matter what I face the more my heart overflows with peace in chaos.”
and this…
I did The 10 Things Challenge a couple of years ago and still think about it…found it to be a great way to focus myself and still use some of the tools I learnt from it. For example, when I think about what I want to achieve in the coming months, I am aware of different categories to think through – work goals, family goals, social fun activities, areas to simplify life. My thinking is more broad when future thinking, rather than a do do list. Hugely grateful to you Catriona for your insight and perspective, always so helpful.”
So be kind to yourself and give yourself a gift of greater self belief and self confidence.
Sign up to do The 10 Things Challenge, still on a discounted price, and I look forward to meeting with you!
